Albums, notifications, search & more

Hey there, David here with PortraitMode. In this post I’d like to highlight all the new features that we have added to PortraitMode. Let’s dive right in 🙂

🔔 Notifications

You might have noticed the little bell icon next to your profile. This is where all your notifications will now show up. Whenever someone comments on your photo, likes your photo, tags or follows you, you will now get a notification. That makes it much easier to follow along and engage with other artists on the platform.

🖼️ Albums

You can now categorize your photos in albums! This is a feature we have been working on for quite a while and I’m happy to let you know that it is now available. There is a plus icon on your profile page which allows you to add a new album. To assign a photo to an album, simply right click the photo and assign it to your album of choice.

🔍 Search

You can now search for artists and photos on PortraitMode. This is useful if you are looking for photos shot with a specific camera or at a specific location.

✍️ Descriptions

It is now possible to add descriptions to your photos. A simple but useful feature to give your photos more context.

🚀 Performance

We have drastically improved the performance of the platform. Things should feel much snappier now. This is most noticable on the Artists page but basically all areas of the site has been improved.
