This ist the Kuhna-Wall during Golden Hour, yesterday.

In this photo from the series "The Flip Side," I explore the multifaceted essence of Düsseldorf by connecting nature, art, and urbanity. The Rhine meadow in the foreground symbolizes the natural foundation, complemented by Pdot's playful Pac-Man ghosts on the back of the Rhine kilometer signs, transforming them into urban street art pentaptychs.
The Rhine, as the lifeline of commerce, and the buildings of the Ehrenhof along with the Tonhalle in the background underscore Düsseldorf's cultural and historical significance. It becomes clear that art holds not only cultural value but also serves as a driving force for economic prosperity, acting as a catalyst for urban development, tourism, and creative innovations.
The fair in front of the buildings symbolizes the vibrant interaction between culture and community, which also contributes to the economic and social vitality of the city.
The deliberately chosen deadpan style of the photo aims to create an unbiased framework, allowing the viewer to perceive each of these elements without preconceived emotions. It was only after hundreds of walks with my dog Punto that I came to understand the deeper connection of these scenes. This photo invites reflection on the dynamic relationships in our Düsseldorf urban space.
