London | August | 2023. On Saturday afternoon a thunder and lightning storm started up. I had an umbrella on me, so I kept shooting as long as the camera didn't get too wet (it's not completely weather sealed).
This moment caught my attention as the child looked like they were using their dad as a shield against the heavy rain. The father looking into the distance and not at his daughter creates an interesting ambivalence in the image for me.
