Up close with the container giantHamburg’s Elbe ferries constantly shuttle back and forth between the riverbanks, often crossing paths with container ships along the way. Sometimes, you can literally touch the containers. For a local like me, it’s nothing out of the ordinary—but for tourists from Saxony, Swabia, or Saarland, it’s quite an event. :-)

Took this in Santa Cruz. I was kinda having a bad day, even though it was sunny out, and I saw this boat out on the water by itself and felt like that boat and I had something in common. One of my most honest self portraits of myself.
