The exposure is brilliantly done, with the shadowy people walking in the distance, bathed in light. The imposing buildings symbolise how small we (the people) are to the rest of the world.
Wonderful!

For me it’s very nice photo, I like bnw photos very much. I like how the light works here, and the composition is good here.
Best wishes!
1. Well composed.
2. Light directions are well managed with darker shadows on the right with a nice blur around the edges.
3. Shadows on the left are well managed enough to show details.
4. People well lit around the edges as they walk towards the light.
5. The height of the environment in relation to the people is what makes the photo look great.
This is a really cool street shot with awesome shadow framing. The way the sun cuts through the dark alley looks great, and having the people walk right into that light creates a nice story while showing the depth of the place. The composition is clean and balanced but rich in detail. As a non-minimalist, I love getting lost in the stonework and the old architectural elements. It gives the photo multiple visual layers to explore. I’d maybe push the highlights a bit more just to make the rim light on the people pop. It’s a gorgeous photo with a fantastic mood. Congrats!
The lighting is good, and the composition is nice. It would look even better if there were just one or two subjects, as the light outlining the edges of their bodies and hair would stand out more.
Right now, there are too many subjects, and it’s a little difficult to know where to look.
@lensodyssey i am in agreement to the suggestion of too many subjects.
me too
I really like it! The lighting is excellent and captures the mood perfectly. Looks great in black and white.
Silhouettes cast in shadow add a narrative, lively touch without cluttering the scene.
A fine piece of street photography—a composition balanced between geometric precision and urban poetry.
Simply I like it
Superb
Wonderful
I really enjoy this type of composition! My only wish is that the left building line was a bit more vertical, as it feels like everything is just falling a bit to the right. Other than that small tweek, bravo!
Overall the composition is good. Especially how the foreground shadow creates a geometric shape. Needs a bit of straightening as it as seems to lean to the right. Also, the one darker subject gets lost in the background shadow. If you could have waited a second or two for him to walk in the light patch he would pop out more.
Despite the strong contrast in the image, the details in the shadows remain visible. Nice. Even the grasses on the facade to the right, above the “gate,” stand out well against the shadow behind them. Very nice. Best. Regards, Marco
Hi Simone! I’m not entirely sure how this feedback thing works, but since you asked, I’ll give it a try! 😊
I really like the photo. Wonderful contrast and beautiful shadows!
There is just one little thing I noticed. The person closest to the camera is almost completely in shadow, and I wonder if waiting another second might have allowed the light to catch them too. I think that could have made the image even stronger. 🤗
beautiful light & shadow!
Great b&w shot, well composed.
Like the relation between the brighter areas and the deep shadows.
Best regards,
Joerg
